about
The song is about change... as are most of my songs. It was written a few years back as I was grieving a relationship and realized that the connection was finally severed. Trying to process that helped me heal from it. After sitting on the song for a couple years, it took on a whole new life. It’s about separation and growth.
lyrics
I know these just sound like empty words
But there’s just bedsheets where there should be you
And the glow that gave our faces all the light
Choking on dust never did much
I said I cared I’m really really scared
I let you know, I let you go
our hearts beat now on different ground
I know how this may sound but I can’t stand not walking the same ground
You made me feel like I was someone so new
Every day you sleep so far and so wide
And sometimes I think that I might just miss you
Choking on dust never did much
I said I cared I’m really really scared
Il let you know, I let you go
our hearts beat now on different ground
I know how this may sound
I know how this may sound
I know how this may sound...
Choking on dust never did much
I said I cared I’m really really scared
I let you know, I let you go
our hearts beat now on different ground
our hearts beat now on different ground
